QAL Champions 2019!

It has been a rollercoaster few days for the club!! Last Saturday night our Pearl FC first won the Qatar Amateur League for the first time in their history. This is an amazing story as the club was founded in 2014 and the vision of our Directors Keith Young and Steven Gough were rewarded as they had the opportunity to see their dreams become reality!

Beating Al Naser in normal time 2 - 0. A penalty decision in the final moment of injury time and the score 1 - 0. Our goalkeeper Noba stood brave to deny the Al Naser striker. From the resulting rebound, the Pearl FC attacked to seal the win with a thunderbolt from The Pearl FC Luke Gibson sealing the 2 - 0 win taking the game to extra time and penalties!

The Pearl FC were the more composed and organised gelling together and ended up winning 7 - 6 in penalties resulting in jubilant scenes that will stay with the memories of the players, coaches and supporters for the rest of their lives!

First Team

This is the fifth season for The Pearl senior team participating in QFA's third tier of football. The club has quickly grown into a highly regarded and well-structured football club, recently receiving legal operational approval from the ministry of sports and gaining approval from the QFA technical committee and a partnership with Doha Golf Club to operate all of its football activities in the fantastic Doha Sports Park development makes this season already a huge success.

The senior team operates with a superb skillset of coaching staff all previously involved in high-level football and having UEFA experience ensuring the structure of the senior team is operational at a recognized professional level that has the club on the cusp of promotion.

This is a special season, with the launch of Doha Pearl Academy and several agreements in place with highly recognized companies to tailor the season's ambitions to win the league. Twelve new players out of the pre-season sessions have recently signed terms; the club welcomes back Noor Basaurdinne and Mourad Benzarmid with several Qatari players bringing further quality and dimension to the current excellent squad of players who are already in preparation for a strong November kick off to 2018/19.
