The Faisal programme is designed to provide an age-appropriate family football experience for age groups U3-U4-U5-U6.
Whether you come into football with knowledge, limited knowledge or you’ve been involved in the game for years, everyone will benefit from this programme.
Through fun games and activities, the programme develops balance, running, jumping, turning, hand-eye coordination and spatial awareness, all essential to allow the young player to eventually learn and enjoy the game.
The programme is designed to also involve the most important person in the child's life. The parent and children like nothing more than doing things with mum and dad.
Experts in child psychology and development stress the important role of the parent to the young child. The approach fosters a memorable experience for the whole family.
Each week the activities are based around a different theme eg: The Farm, Super Heros and the Sea (just to name a few) So the children are encouraged to Imagination, develop core motor skills and learn social values such as friendship and teamwork.
The role of the coach is of a story teller, outline the activity and encourage the children and their parents to have fun.
3 stage progression.
Each of the Activities allows for a 3 stage progression to support continues growth:
Central to our style of play is the creation of diamonds and triangles.
The Foundation Programme allows us to embed this from the start. Players will rotate positions, including goalkeeper.
Teams look to play out from the back using the goalkeeper and possession the ball with purpose.
Players will be encouraged to be confident in 1v1 situations, recognize when to pass and be comfortable receiving the ball.
Game Development 5 v 5 and 7 v 7
The number of diamonds/triangles are increased to provide more passing options when in possession.
The focus on the central positioned player and their role will allow for more touches on the ball and increased decision making. Fundamental focus is given on ball mastery and technical proficiency in passing, receiving, dribbling and kicking the ball. Basic tactical information is given when in possession and to regain possession.
Game Development 7 v 7 and 9 v 9
Player roles have been consistent throughout the process allowing for embedded familiarity.
The aim is to dominate the ball in possession progressively through the thirds, be organized in attack, defence and transitions.
The system continues to allow position flexibility and movement within shape. Players define tactical and technical attributes in training and game. Ensuring players are prepared technically to carry out the tactical instruction.
Game Development 11 v 11

The goalkeeper’s progression when they train in their age groups their tactical components will now be added to give you the complete goalkeeper.
Team training normally only constitutes a few hours a week and the chance to focus on the individual techniques is scarce thus leaving gaps in the football player’s development.
1on1 time with our expert coaching staff including UEFA A & B Licensed Coaches will be beneficial and for their football development. This will really help address all areas within our 6-week programme.
All programmes will be designed age specifically and to the players level to increase player development.
Principles of play are the underpinning concepts of the game and can be coached from the very first stage of development onwards. The principles relate to attacking and defending and should not be confused with the system of play.
The principles of play are the same in any system of play. It is important for the coach to know and understand the principles before helping the players to understand. With a good appreciation and excellent technique a team will be able to play any system and style.
There are 5 principles of attack:
There are 5 principles of defending designed to counteract the effects of the attacking principles;
The number one priority for any football programme should be to introduce children to the beautiful game in a fun and enjoyable way so that children get ‘hooked’ and can’t wait to return for their next session. We get this!
However, we believe that through having a structured and organised curriculum such as our Doha Pearl Academy Player Development Plan, our players can achieve a much wider range of results and benefits.
As a result of this Player Development Plan, the coaches are able to focus on nurturing players to achieve the end of stage goals and attainment targets and is able to assess players more accurately by having clearly defined outcomes at each stage and also a clear pathway for progression.
Having this curriculum and regular feedback (player reports) also allows parents and children to be more involved in their own learning and ensures that the player is actively involved in their footballing education.
However, keep in mind that successful football at all levels is determined by one thing, TECHNIQUE. Therefore our coaching programmes must start with a strong technical focus to acquire the fundamental building blocks that are critical to the development of a player. Oh... and don’t forget we make the sessions fun and enjoyable so that players develop their love for the game and cannot wait to come to their next Doha Pearl Academy session!
